Prices are Continuing to Rise in the Province of Quebec

According to data compiled by the Quebec Professional Association of Real Estate Brokers (QPAREB), 10,814 transactions were recorded in the province of Quebec in March 2022, a decrease of 15 per cent. Active listings are down 18 per cent and new listings declined by 12 per cent compared to March 2021.

Plexes saw the largest increase in the median price, up by 29 per cent. Signe-family homes follow closely with a 21 per cent increase and prices for condominiums are up 19 per cent.

Here are the March 2022 median prices for a single-family home in the 6 CMAs along with the variation from March of last year.

  • Montreal: $565,550 (+18 per cent)
  • Gatineau: $474,450 (+23 per cent)
  • Quebec City: $350,000 (+10 per cent)
  • Sherbrooke: $350,000 (+15 per cent)
  • Saguenay: $257,000 (+20 per cent)
  • Trois-Rivières: $268,500 (+33 per cent)
